With the extra space available to us at the new medical centre, we have actively recruited more doctors to meet the increasing need for appointments in our local area.

Dr Erin Horsley, Dr Jill Wyatt, Dr Ewen McLean and Dr Suzie Bicker started earlier this year and Drs Amanda Larke and Dr Helen Wilcox have just started.

So, there should be no problems getting appointments when you need them.

Mead Medical will now be open from 8.30am to 8pm Monday to Thursday at the Kalamunda Medical centre.

The new hours will commence from the 11th of February 2013.

After 6.00pm, there is a $10.00 payment on your usual gap fee, irrespective of whether a concession card is held.
This service is designed for those that work during the day or for emergencies.

The day has finally come. After numerous delays and almost 10 years of planning, Mead Medical have moved in to our new building at 37 Elizabeth st, just next to Kalamunda hospital.

We look forward to seeing you soon at our new building.

Mead Medical Group will be running an emergency course at our new medical centre this coming weekend, the 8th, 9th and 10th of February.

The course will be run by the RACGP and will ensure that our doctors and nurses are up to date with all aspects of medical emergencies.

Please be aware that this will mean that there will be NO NURSES on duty on the 8th of February.  The emergency clinic will run like normal on the Saturday and Sunday.

 

It is with much sadness that we report the passing of our beloved friend and colleague, Jane Marsden (nee Talbot). After a long battle with ovarian cancer, Jane passed away peacefully on the 30th of January 2013.

We would like to advise that Mead Medical will continue to provide medical care to our patients over the Christmas and New Year period.

We will have  our normal emergency surgery on the 22nd and 23rd of December.

We will be closing at 4pm on the 24th.

There will be no emergency clinic on the 25th.

There will be an emergency clinic at the Kalamunda surgery on the 26th.

The surgery will open as normal on the 27th and 28th.

There will be normal emergency clinic on 29th and 30th.

We will be closing the surgery at 4pm on 31st of December.

We will have normal emergency clinic on New Years Day.

Normal  surgery bours will resume from the 2nd of January.

We wish all of our patients a very merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

The long anticipated move to the new premises in Elizabeth st has been delayed.

We have been advised by our building contractor that unanticipated delay’s with the air conditioning installation has led to a revised finishing date. At this stage he has suggested that we will be able to move in to the new building in early February 2013.

We will keep you updated on the move as more information becomes available.

We are trying to get bus services re routed to go past our new surgery.
