Mead Medical Kalamunda has a purpose built medical centre (completed in 2013), located adjacent to Kalamunda District Community Hospital. The medical centre provides state of the art facilities for our patients. As well as the traditional consulting rooms, we have incorporated a large nursing bay and 3 new procedure rooms.

Mead Medical Group Forrestfield is a well-established practice operating since 1974, it is a private billing practice located in the Hills area, approximately 30 minutes drive from the Perth CBD. We are located in close proximity to the Forrestfield Forum shopping centre on Salix Way.

Company Overview

Mead Medical is a well-established 60 year old practice located in the Hills area, approximately 30 minutes’ drive from the Perth CBD.

We have a purpose built medical centre (completed in 2013), located adjacent to Kalamunda District Community Hospital. The medical centre provides state of the art facilities for our patients. As well as the traditional consulting rooms, we have incorporated a large nursing bay and 3 new procedure rooms.

Our second practice is located at the foot of the hills in Forrestfield nestled on the outskirts of a busy shopping precinct, an older style family practice.

We are governed by five experienced GP Directors who all work within our business and are supported by both a Practice Manager and Finance Manager as well a team of staff.

Our clinical services are provided by our team of 25 independent contractors, all whom are experienced and some of which specialize in different fields including but not limited to Aged Care, Palliative Care, Skin Care, Women’s Health, Obstetrician & Gynecology, Anesthetics.

Mead Medical manages both an onsite Specialist Services, Hills Obstetric Group and dedicated Kalamunda Skin Clinic which compliments our general practice work.

 

 

RACGP General Practice of the Year 2013/14 (National)

Mead Medical is very pleased and honoured to have been awarded the prestigious national award of RACGP General Practice of the Year 2013/14 (National)

Mead Medical has been servicing the people of the Kalamunda Shire for over 50 years. We remain an independent practice that seeks to provide the highest possible care to our patients.

We currently provide a range of services that extend beyond general practice. We continue to provide anaesthetic, obstetric, surgical, skin cancer and main many more services to our patients. We believe strongly in the continuation of procedural general practice.

We also believe in the ongoing education of medical students and general practitioners. We have a strong connection with both universities in Western Australia and have a number of general practice registrars who undertake training at Mead Medical. Our excellence in teaching has been recognized previously, we were the recipients of the 2005 award for excellence in teaching.

After 6.00pm, there is a $15.00 payment on your usual gap fee, irrespective of whether a concession card is held. This service is designed for those that work during the day or for emergencies.
