Mead Medical welcomes Dr Arvind Yelal who is joining us this week. Arvind graduated from Andhra Medical College, in Visakhapatanam, India in 2003. After two years in the Indian hospital system Arvind then moved to the UK for 4 years starting in January 2005. Arvind then moved to Australia in 2008 and has worked in senior medical positions at Fremantle Hospital, St John of God Hospital and Armadale Hosptial. Arvind is hoping to gain a good breadth of experience at Mead prior to embarking on a career in rural practice.
Arvind is married to Dr Savitha Yelal who is training at Fiona Stanley Hospital to be a specialist physician and together they have a one year old boy called Ishaan. Arvind is also a keen hockey and cricket player.
